Role Overview
We're seeking a talented Back-End Engineer to join CODVO.AI's Engineering team and help build scalable, robust systems that power our AI-driven platform. In this role, you'll design and develop server-side applications, optimize database architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. Your work will directly influence how millions of users interact with our intelligent technology.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop scalable back-end services and APIs using modern frameworks and languages, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Build and optimize database schemas and queries for complex data models, implementing best practices for data integrity and query efficiency
- Collaborate with product managers, front-end engineers, and data scientists to translate requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans
- Implement automated testing strategies, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure system reliability and reduce production incidents
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve system stability and user experience
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, providing constructive feedback and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Document technical designs, APIs, and system architecture to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members
- Contribute to DevOps and infrastructure improvements, including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment strategies
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional back-end development experience
- Strong proficiency in at least one back-end programming language (Python, Java, Go, Node.js, or similar)
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with message queues and event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Background in AI/ML applications or working with AI-powered systems
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience with GraphQL or other modern API technologies
- Knowledge of system design principles and scalability patterns
