Role Overview
We're seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer to join CODVO.AI's Engineering team and help scale our infrastructure as we grow. In this role, you'll design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that enable our teams to ship code reliably and efficiently. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality AI-powered solutions to our customers.
What You'll Do
- Design and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency across development, staging, and production environments
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI to automate testing, building, and deployment processes
- Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes, managing deployments, scaling, and resource optimization
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to enable reproducible, version-controlled infrastructure
- Monitor system performance and reliability by setting up observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, DataDog) and establishing alerting mechanisms
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime, conducting post-incident reviews and documenting lessons learned
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, provide technical guidance on deployment strategies, and support application scaling needs
- Maintain security best practices by implementing access controls, managing secrets, conducting security audits, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience
- Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Demonstrated expertise with CI/CD tools and pipeline development
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document processes clearly
Nice to Have
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Knowledge of database administration and backup/recovery strategies
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
- Contributions to open-source DevOps projects
- AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes certifications
- Experience in AI/ML infrastructure or data pipeline management
