Role Overview
We're seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to lead the design and development of intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that power CODVO.AI's innovative platform. In this role, you'll architect scalable frontend solutions, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. Your technical expertise and design sensibility will directly impact how millions of users interact with our AI-driven products.
What You'll Do
- Lead frontend architecture decisions and establish best practices for code quality, performance optimization, and maintainability across the engineering team
- Design and implement responsive, accessible user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and technologies, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards and cross-browser compatibility
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into pixel-perfect, functional components while advocating for user-centered design principles
- Mentor and code review junior and mid-level engineers, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
- Optimize frontend performance through profiling, bundle analysis, and implementation of lazy loading, caching strategies, and other performance enhancement techniques
- Build and maintain component libraries and design systems that promote consistency, reusability, and scalability across the product ecosystem
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure reliability and reduce production incidents
- Participate in product discovery and technical planning sessions, providing frontend perspective on feasibility, scalability, and user experience implications
What We're Looking For
Required Experience & Skills:
- 7+ years of professional front-end development experience with a proven track record of shipping production applications
- Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one major framework (React, Vue, or Angular)
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles with hands-on experience building accessible interfaces
- Demonstrated experience with frontend build tools and bundlers (Webpack, Vite, or similar)
- Solid grasp of UI/UX principles, design systems, and ability to collaborate effectively with designers
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex frontend issues
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Pinia)
- Knowledge of web performance metrics and tools (Lighthouse, WebPageTest, Core Web Vitals)
- Familiarity with headless CMS platforms or API-driven architectures
- Experience with GraphQL or REST API integration
- Background in AI/ML products or data visualization
- Open-source contributions or personal projects demonstrating technical depth
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
